Carpenters Workshop Gallery: Contemporary Design Icons

About

I contributed texts to a compendium of projects represented by London-, Paris- and New York-based Carpenters Workshop Gallery, which represents designers who create collectible furniture, lighting and home pieces that straddle the blurry boundary between art and design.

Carpenters Workshop Gallery: Contemporary Design Ideas looks back at a decade of exhibitions from the pioneering gallery, and spotlights the talent that founders Julien Lombrail and Loïc Le Gaillard have championed to date.

The book is published by Rizzoli, which commissioned me for the project, and was released in 2018. Get a copy, and look out for the little “D.H.”s at the end of texts about Demakersvan, Sebastian Brajkovic and Vincent Dubourg.
